The Inbetweeners 2 (2014) - Review

The Inbetweeners 2 Review
Inbeweeners 2 Poster

Having seen all of the series and the first movie I was excited to see if they could wreck the legacy in the second movie. Friends reviews on facebook were mixed but swayed toward The Inbetweeners 2 being pretty rubbish.

Regardless of what I had seen on facebook I decided to watch The Inbetweeners 2 and review it!

The Inbetweeners 2 - Review

The start of the movie confused me greatly. For a moment I thought I was watching Narnia or Lord of The Rings. The first scenes are in the UK and include everyone but Jay who has relocated to Australia. The usual Inbetweeners humuor is strong at the start but increases once the lads arrive in Australia.

The guys plod around Australia causing the usual chaos. The banter between the guys is what we have come to expect and love. The funniest scenes in my opinion occur around a hostel they are staying in. The last 30 minutes of the movie for me are dragged out and really ruin the great start.

The Inbetweeners 2 contains crude humour, lots of sexual references and very occasional drug use. The movie carries a 15 certificate.

Overall the movie is funny, very funny infact but it also has more of a sad feeling to it. It conveys an overall message of life being cruel but pretty funny. For me its as good if not better than the first movie but it does not come close to the series. The ending leaves the possibility of The Inbetweeners 3 - In Viet Nam I am guessing.

I rate this movie a 3 out of 5 due to the last 30 minutes for me. It just seemed like they ran out of content and filled it was a pointless scene and overly pointless long shots.

An all time classic? No, never but I would recommend watching this movie!
